With the weather over the past few
days, and the forecast for the weekend,
based on the condition of the grassy
areas of the Park we have decided to
hold
Sunday's Webb
Park Certified Farmers Market and Specialty
Faire IN THE PARKING
LOT BEHIND 16776 Bernardo Center Drive (the
Sylvan Learning Center Building).
PROPOSED
RAIN LAYOUT MAP
(exact layout subject to
revision and/or change)
Although not setting
up "as usual",
the forecast is
for clearing early in the day,
and it is likely to be a beautiful day
after all. By setting up in
the Parking Lot, we can continue to
plan to hold a nice market, with minimal
adverse impact to most of our vendors.
It is our hope that vendors will continue
to monitor the weather forecasts and
active weather conditions, and choose
to come out, arriving at 8:30am to set
up in anticipation of the forecasted
clearing and pleasant conditions.
There are some special considerations
for SUNDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2011
ONLY:
- The Monthly Clothing
Showcase Specialty Event is
postponed until March 20, 2011.
Vendors confirmed for the
2/20 event date will be automatically
confirmed for the March 20th
date, and all deposits will be applied
toward that date.
-
All
vendors in attendance on 2/20/2011
will be offered special reduced
selling fees for 2/20/2011 of 8%
of sales, or $15 minimum;
setup will be by section, first-come,
first-serve.
- Approved Clothing Specialty
Vendors are invited to set up with
us as well on a first-come first-serve
basis for the same 8% or $15 minimum
(2/20/2011 only).
- All pre-approved stand-by
Vendors are invited to set up with
us on a first-come first-serve
basis for the same 8% or $15 minimum
(2/20/2011 only)
- subject to there being
no overlap of product/specialty
with another Permanent Vendor in
attendance (other than Clothing
and Accessories).
- CPC Farmers selling under their CPCs
will pay $1.00 flat-fee per CPC.
ARRIVAL, CHECK-IN AND SET-UP:
Farmers: Proceed
to your usual location and park. You
will set up in the parking lot directly
in front of your vehicle.
ALL OTHER VENDORS:
We will be setting up in the parking
lot located at 16776 Bernardo Center
Drive (behind the Sylvan Learning Center).
- From the North, turn RIGHT into
the parking lot just after the traffic
light at the CHEVRON Station.
- From the South, make a U-Turn
at the traffic light at the CHEVRON
Station, then turn RIGHT into the
parking lot.
The EXACT placement of the
specialty areas is still being
finalized. You will be shown the
area to set up in when you check in
with Richard and Claire on Sunday
morning. The layout shown NOT
definite.
You will be able to unload to the
area you will be setting up in, and
then you will need to move your car
to one of the neighboring parking lots.
PLEASE LEAVE THE
PARKING SPACES IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT
TO THE MARKET AREA OPEN AND AVAILABLE
FOR SHOPPERS.
Vendor parking
will be behind US
Bank (16816 Bernardo Center Drive) and
California Bank & Trust (16796 Bernardo
Center Drive) OR
behind the Medical Dental Building
(16766 Bernardo Center Drive).
We are leaving it up to each
individual vendor to determine whether
or not coming out and setting up at
the Market would be beneficial for them.
Aside from designating specialty sections,
setup will be first come first
serve.
It is GREATLY APPRECIATED if you would email us to let
us know whether you plan to attend,
DO NOT plan to attend, or are still
waiting to see what the weather does
before making a decision.
This is our first attempt to accommodate
weather conditions, and we appreciate
everyone's understanding and constructive
input. It will certainly serve as the
basis for a formal Rain Policy moving
forward.
